At Dublin Methodist Hospital we care as much about helping you feel better as we do about helping you get better. Once you are here, you will notice Dublin Methodist Hospital is not just another hospital, but one designed to provide a new kind of healing environment. You will be surrounded by quiet, intimate family spaces, the soothing sound of falling water, plenty of natural light and many beautiful gardens. And you'll be cared for by an incredible team of doctors, nurses and staff whose entire focus is you.
Over the years we've learned a great deal about how a hospital environment affects patients and their families. First, we know that the very presence of family and friends helps patients relax and reduces anxiety. This turns into true medical benefits. When patients feel more at ease, they recover more rapidly, their blood pressure is lower and their hospital stays are shorter.
Caring for You and Your Family
Because people respond positively to the natural world, you will see many open spaces filled with sunlight, walls made of stone, colors that soothe and gardens throughout the building. Another thing you will notice is how quiet it is at Dublin Methodist. You won't hear overhead paging messages and special ceiling tiles are used in common areas to absorb sound. That means you can have a private conversation without worrying about the people sitting near you.

Our vision
This truly different hospital fits into the landscape of the community with a natural rhythm that breaks down the fear and intimidation of a hospital visit. It's a place where it seems easy to find what you need. And helpful, informative people are exactly where you expect them to be.
Everything encountered makes sense, seems purposeful, and feels right. There is a reassuring sense that everything is completely under control, without feeling institutional or impersonal. In fact, the environment exudes a sense of restorative warmth. Instead of feeling alienated in a foreign place, it seems naturally closer to home.

Our values and principles
