Noninvasive cardiac imaging
Riverside has one of the highest cardiac imaging volumes in the region,
performing more than 30,000 procedures each year, as well as the largest volume
of intraoperative transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) for valve imaging in
Columbus.
The cardiac imaging lab at the McConnell Heart Hospital at Riverside is
nationally accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of
Echocardiography Laboratories in adult echocardiography, adult transesophageal
echocardiography, and stress echocardiography, and provides comprehensive
diagnostic services, including:
- Cardiac stress testing
- Nuclear cardiac stress testing: pharmacologic and
exercise
- Stress echocardiography: pharmacologic and exercise
- 2-D echocardiography with PW/CW Doppler and color
Doppler
- Transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE)
- 64-slice computed tomography angiography (CTA) imaging
The cardiac imaging lab is staff by 13 noninvasive cardiologists whose main
emphasis is strictly noninvasive cardiac diagnostic procedures.
